Role Overview: Kole Made seeks an experienced carpenter to join our installation team. Applicants should have demonstrable fine carpentry and finishing skills, be proficient with hand and shop tools, and should be competent in the installation of cabinetry and other built-in millwork. Ideally, this candidate would be able to perform shop tasks on the production line as needed, though this position is geared toward site installation and interior construction projects. An interest in fine woodworking and handcrafting is a plus.


Key Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Lead product (cabinetry) installer and job site carpenter.

  • Planning and executing installations, including preparation.

  • Maintaining safety and cleanliness standards on-site.

  • Prioritization of tasks on job sites.

  • Navigating around and collaborating with other trades, as needed.

  • Meeting deadlines and communicating with KOLE project managers.

  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and supplies, including company van.

  • Occasional production work in the KOLE shop.

Essential Qualities, Skills & Physical Requirements:

  • 5+ years in carpentry preferred.

  • Punctuality, dependability, and efficiency.

  • Driver’s license and good driving record.

  • Experience installing cabinetry and other built-in millwork pieces.

  • Experience with trim work, scribing, door hanging, and familiarity with framing and drywall practices.

  • Able to work in various site conditions, including at heights (scaffolding, ladders, scissor lift, etc), and occasionally outdoors.

  • Demonstrable experience with the safe operation of various hand and power tools.

  • Ability to read detailed shop drawings & take precise measurements.

  • Clean & safe working habits.

  • Collaborative and cooperative, with some jobsite leadership skills.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Good communication skills and ability to interface with clients.

  • Proficiency in English; bilingual skills a plus.
