Terms & Conditions

Returns & Exchanges

Each of our pieces is custom made to order by our craftspeople and individually inspected before being shipped out.  Because of this, returns and exchanges are not accepted for any reason other than manufacturing defects and damage that may occur during shipping.  If you notice damage to one of your products after shipping, a damage claim must be reported within 72 hours of package arrival.  Please inspect your purchases immediately upon receipt, as no claims can be made after this time.  Damaged items may only be exchanged after claims have been processed.  To open a claim, please email sales@kolemade.com.

Order Modifications and Cancellations

Product fabrication typically begins within 48 hours of order placement.  Because of this, all order modification requests from the customer must be received within 48 hours of order placement.  Order modifications received after this time are subject to a modification fee covering any expenses incurred by Kole Made to fulfill the original order.  Due to the accelerated lead time of rush production orders, order modifications are not accepted for rush production orders.

Orders canceled by the customer before fabrication begins are not subject to a cancellation fee.  Orders cancelled by the customer after fabrication begins are subject to a cancellation fee covering any expenses incurred by Kole Made to fulfill the original order.

Shipping

Because each of our pieces is custom made, the production time for each item varies.  Individual lead times are listed on the individual product pages.  Orders for Kole Made products will be shipped according to the method selected by the customer at checkout.  Shipping arrangements for larger items like cabinetry and furniture will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Lead time & rush orders

Each of our pieces is made-to-order with lead times ranging from 2-12 weeks depending on the piece and level of customization.  Rush production may be available on a case-by-case basis for an additional rush production fee.  Expedited shipping may also be available on a case-by-case basis.  Please let us know at the time of your inquiry if you think you will require rush production or expedited shipping.

Wood Variation

Wood is a living material, and its beauty is enhanced by natural variations in grain, color, and pattern.  No two pieces of wood are exactly the same, and the color will change with age, temperature, and exposure to light.  The nature of wood grain can cause variations in stain depth, so our expert craftspeople hand-apply the stain to blend these variations as well as possible.  Some expansion, contraction, and small cracking over time is also natural as the wood adjusts to changes in temperature, humidity, and other factors.
